Ingredients:
- 4 catfish fillets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
Breading:
- In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the buttermilk in a separate shallow dish.
Coating Fish:
- Dip each catfish fillet into the buttermilk, coating both sides.
- Transfer the fillet to the flour mixture, and coat both sides evenly, pressing gently to help the coating adhere.
- Shake off any excess flour and place the coated fillets on a plate or baking sheet.
- Preheat the air fryer oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Arrange the coated catfish fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between them.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping the fillets halfway through the cooking time, until the coating is crispy and the fish is cooked through.
Serving:
- Transfer the crispy catfish fillets to a serving plate.
- Serve hot, garnished with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce, such as tartar sauce or remoulade.
