Homemade Paneer Nuggets, prepared in an air fryer, offer a delightful and health-conscious alternative to traditional deep-fried snacks. Paneer, a rich source of protein and calcium, contributes to muscle development, bone health, and overall well-being. The inclusion of vibrant vegetables such as onions and capsicum provides essential vitamins and antioxidants, supporting immune function and reducing oxidative stress.
Ingredients:
For the Paneer Mixture:
- 250g paneer
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 chopped green chili
- ½ tbsp black pepper powder
- ½ tbsp red chili powder
- ½ tbsp Salt
- ½ tbsp oil
Other Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons cornflour or all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons water (for making a slurry)
- Cooking spray or oil for air fryer
Instructions:
Prepare the Paneer Mixture:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine grated or crumbled paneer, chopped onions, green chili, red chili powder, salt. Mix well to form a cohesive mixture.
Shape into Nuggets:
- Take a small portion of the paneer mixture and shape it into small cylindrical or rectangular nuggets. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
Prepare the Slurry:
- In a separate bowl, mix cornflour or all-purpose flour with water to create a smooth slurry.
Coat the Nuggets:
- Dip each paneer nugget into the slurry, ensuring it's well-coated, and then roll it in breadcrumbs, covering the nugget evenly.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (360°F) for a few minutes.
Air Fry the Paneer Nuggets:
- Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or oil.
- Place the coated paneer nuggets in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, turning halfway through, or until the paneer nuggets are golden brown and crispy.
Serve:
- Remove the paneer nuggets from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.
- Serve the paneer nuggets with your favorite dipping sauce.
