Ingredients:
- 1 liter full-fat milk
- 1/2 cup vermicelli
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 4-5 dates, chopped
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 2 tablespoons mixed nuts
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Saffron strands
- Rose water
- Chopped dried fruits for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare Vermicelli:
- Heat ghee in a pan and roast the vermicelli until golden brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
Prepare Milk Mixture:
- In a separate pan, bring the milk to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.
- Add sugar, chopped dates, chopped nuts, cardamom powder, saffron strands (if using), and rose water to the milk. Stir well to combine.
Add Vermicelli:
- Add the roasted vermicelli to the milk mixture. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the vermicelli is soft and cooked through.
Serve:
- Once the Sheer Khurma is cooked to your desired consistency, remove it from heat.
- Garnish with chopped dried fruits and more chopped nuts if desired.
- Serve Sheer Khurma warm or chilled, according to your preference.
