Tortilla Wraps

Tortilla wraps can offer several health benefits depending on their ingredients and fillings. Whole-grain or whole-wheat tortillas can provide dietary fiber, aiding in digestive health and promoting a feeling of fullness. Additionally, these wraps can serve as a versatile vehicle for incorporating a variety of nutrient-rich ingredients such as lean proteins, vegetables, and healthy fats. Including veggies like lettuce, tomatoes, and peppers adds vitamins and minerals to the meal, while proteins like grilled chicken or beans contribute to muscle maintenance and repair. Choosing whole, minimally processed ingredients and being mindful of portion sizes make tortilla wraps a convenient and balanced option within a nutritious diet. However, it's essential to be cautious about the overall composition, as certain toppings or excessive use of high-calorie condiments can impact the healthfulness of the wrap.

Ingredients:

  • Flour tortillas
  • 1 tbsp schezwan sauce
  • 1 tbsp mayyonise
  • 1 onion ( cut into slices)
  • 2-3 cheese slice
  • Desired fillings (e.g., grilled chicken, veggies, cheese, salsa, sour cream)
  • Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions:

Prepare the Fillings:

  • Cook or prepare your desired fillings. This can include grilled chicken, sautéed vegetables, cheese, salsa, or any other ingredients you like in your wraps.

Assemble the Wraps:

  • Place a flour tortilla on a clean surface.
  • Add schezwan sauce, mayyonise,  sliced onion and cheese slice.

Fold and Roll:

  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla, and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to create a wrap.

Preheat the Air Fryer:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

Brush with Oil:

  • Lightly brush the outside of the tortilla wrap with cooking spray or olive oil. This helps to achieve a crispy texture.

Air Fry:

  • Place the prepared tortilla wrap in the air fryer basket. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook one or two wraps at a time.
  • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the wrap is golden brown and crispy.

Repeat:

  • Repeat the process for the remaining wraps.

Serve:

  • Once done, remove the tortilla wraps from the air fryer.
  • Cut them in half diagonally and serve immediately.
