Egg dosa, a traditional Indian dish made from fermented rice and lentil batter filled with a layer of egg, offers several health benefits. Ingredients:
- Dosa batter
- Eggs
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Finely chopped onions
- Finely chopped coriander leaves
- Oil or ghee for cooking
Instructions:
Preparation:
- Heat the granite dosa tawa on medium heat until it's evenly heated.
Spread Dosa Batter:
- Pour a ladleful of dosa batter onto the center of the tawa.
- Spread the batter evenly in a circular motion to form a thin layer.
Add Egg:
- Crack an egg onto the center of the dosa.
- Spread the egg slightly with a spatula.
Seasoning:
- Sprinkle salt, pepper, finely chopped onions, and coriander leaves over the egg.
Drizzle Oil or Ghee:
- Drizzle a little oil or ghee around the edges of the dosa and on top of the egg.
Cooking:
- Cook the dosa until the edges start to lift and turn golden brown, and the egg is cooked to your desired doneness.
- You can cover the dosa with a lid briefly to ensure the egg cooks evenly.
Fold and Serve:
- Once cooked, carefully fold the dosa in half or roll it.
- Transfer the egg dosa to a plate.
Serving:
- Serve the egg dosa hot with coconut chutney, tomato chutney, or sambar.
